TxDOT El Paso District Speed Feedback and Warning System

Status

Future

Description

Represents future speed feedback and warning systems that will detect the speeds of approaching vehicles and provide warnings to drivers traveling above the posted speed limit. System components will include speed monitoring sensors and radar speed feedback signs, which can detect the speeds of passing vehicles and display those speeds in real–time on the feedback signs. Systems are proposed along the IH–10 Corridor, from SH 20 to the Culberson County line, as well as along the SH 20 Corridor (Mesa Street).
