Pedestrian/Cyclist Detection and Warning System
Description
This project will deploy intersection based equipment to detect the presence of pedestrians and bicyclists and potential conflicts with vehicles in crosswalk areas at signalized intersections. Upon detection, systems could provide warnings to passenger vehicles through a Connected Vehicle application, or to pedestrians and bicyclists through roadside warning devices or smartphone applications.
